| Hexagon was hired by Ogden Environmental as part of the team completing the EIR for the San Carlos Airport Master Plan. The master plan includes several improvement projects at the airport to support growth in operations through the year 2020. Hexagon was responsible for the traffic analysis. One of the key issues was the identification of the peak time of day and day of week for airport operations. Hexagon conducted a traffic count at the airport to determine that the traffic volume peaks at around noon on weekdays. The airport is also fairly active during the am and pm traffic peak hours, so they were the basis of the traffic analysis. The analysis showed that the airport master plan would not have a significant impact on traffic operations. | |
