



| Hexagon was part of the team hired by the San Jose Redevelopment Agency to prepare an EIR for the redevelopment of six older neighborhood retail centers. The prime consultant was Denise Duffy & Associates. The six centers were characterized by vacant stores and decaying buildings. Some were planned for retail reinvestment, and some were planned for conversion to residential uses. Hexagon prepared six traffic studies – one for each of the centers. The traffic studies analyzed site access and potential impacts on the surrounding transportation system. One of the centers also required a general plan amendment to change to high-density residential use. Hexagon prepared the general plan amendment traffic study in the standard San Jose format. | |
