Traffic Signal Designer

Hexagon Transportation Consultants seeks talented individuals with an interest in Traffic Signal Design to work in our San Jose or Gilroy offices. Our work consists of transportation and traffic related projects that we perform under contract with state, county, and municipal agencies, as well as with private industry. As a Traffic Signal Design Engineer you will work on a variety of projects, most from start to finish. The work typically involves preparing traffic signal layouts, project specifications, cost estimates, photometric analysis, field work, attending meetings, and interacting with fellow professionals. The minimum requirement for the position is that you possess a college degree in Civil Engineering, proficiency in AutoCAD, a P.E. license in California, are a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident, and have two years of traffic signal design or roadway design experience.  Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, Synchro, Traffix, and/or GIS is a plus.

Senior Transportation Planner

Hexagon is seeking a Senior Transportation Planner with a minimum of 8 years of experience in preparing transportation studies. Ideal candidates should be comfortable managing and mentoring junior engineering staff, possess good writing skills, and the ability to present studies in public forums. This is a management position with unlimited potential advancement. The minimum requirement for the position is that you possess a college degree in Civil Engineering or Planning and are a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident. Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word, Synchro, AutoCAD, Traffix, and/or GIS are a plus, as is professional registration (AICP, TE, PTOE, PE). Salaries for candidates will vary by education and prior experience.
